Chapter 1

Welcome to Disperse

Disperse helps you find the right people on LinkedIn, reach out to them in your own voice, and keep every conversation moving — without spending your day copying and pasting messages.

Everything Disperse does happens through your own LinkedIn account, in your own browser — never through a lookalike profile or a third-party bot. You stay the one actually connected to every person in your pipeline; Disperse just handles the repetitive parts and hands you the moments that need a human decision.

Three ideas run through the entire product, and they're worth knowing before you dive in:

It's still your account

Searches, connection requests, and messages all go out through the LinkedIn session you're already logged into — nothing runs from a separate server pretending to be you.

You approve what matters

By default, every message Disperse drafts waits for your sign-off before it sends. You can loosen that as you build trust in the system, campaign by campaign.

Nothing gets said that isn't true

When a message claims something specific about a lead — like sharing your school or a past employer — Disperse checks that claim against the lead's real profile first.

Chapter 2

Getting started

Four steps stand between signing up and your first outreach going out. The Dashboard tracks your progress through them until you're done.

  • Install the Chrome extension. This is what lets outreach run through your real, logged-in LinkedIn session instead of anywhere else. Install it from the Chrome Web Store before doing anything else.
  • Pair the extension with your account. In Settings → Connection, generate a six-character pairing code and enter it into the extension's popup.
  • Verify your LinkedIn identity. Paste a link to your own LinkedIn profile so Disperse can confirm it's really you. This grounds every message the AI writes in your real background, role, and history.
  • Launch your first campaign. Describe who you want to reach, review what Disperse builds, and press start.

Before you sign up, the public welcome page and a short two-step form (name, email, password) are all it takes to create your workspace — you're taken straight into this checklist afterward.

Chapter 3

Dashboard & Insights

Two screens give you a running picture of how your outreach is doing — one for “what's happening right now,” one for “how is it performing.”

Dashboard

This is the first thing you see after signing in. It gives you, at a glance:

  • An Autopilot summary — campaigns running or paused, connection requests sent and accepted in the last 7 days, total leads found, and whether your extension is connected.
  • A pipeline funnel across every running campaign, from people found through qualified and sent, to accepted and messaged.
  • An activity timeline — a live feed of searches run, connection requests sent, and messages drafted or sent.
  • A health rail showing your sending limits, how much you've used, and your extension's connection status.

Insights

Where the Dashboard shows "right now," Insights shows "how well." You'll find total leads and active campaigns, your 7-day connection and acceptance rate, a per-campaign performance table, an enrichment panel showing how much of your lead list has been fully researched, and plain-language recommendations — for example, flagging low acceptance rates or campaigns that have been sitting paused.

Chapter 4

Campaigns

A campaign is a single, self-contained outreach effort: who you're looking for, what you're saying to them, and how the conversation should unfold after they connect.

Two ways to build one

Open New campaign and pick the mode that matches how much control you want:

AI-guided

A single guided interview — who you're reaching, who's sending, what you're offering, and how you want to sound — builds both your search targeting and your full messaging playbook together. Review everything on one screen, with a chat rail alongside it for asking Disperse to adjust anything before you create it.

Advanced

A full manual form: keywords, job titles, seniority, industries, locations, target companies, network degree, and two optional targeting signals.

Every new campaign starts as a Draft — nothing runs until you've reviewed it and pressed Start.

Inside a campaign

Once created, each campaign has four tabs:

Campaign detail tabs
TabWhat it's for
LeadsEvery person this campaign's search has surfaced, with running counts.
MessagingSetup (your opener and automation level), Playbook (who you are, what you're offering), and Playground (test how the AI writes before it goes live).
SearchThe exact keywords, titles, companies and locations configured, plus performance per search term.
Follow-upsYour drip sequence — ordered steps, delays, and reply templates keyed to how someone responds.
Worth knowingIf a campaign doesn't have a playbook set, you'll see a warning — without one, the AI falls back to writing generic messages instead of ones grounded in your actual pitch.

Staying in control

Every campaign can be started, and paused in three ways depending on what you want to stop: everything, just the search, or just the messaging. Draft and paused campaigns can also be deleted. A live status strip always shows what's happening right now, plus today's usage against your daily limit.

Chapter 5

Leads

Every person Disperse has found — across every campaign — lives on one Leads page, along with everything it's learned about them.

You can search by name, company, headline, or location; filter by campaign or research status; and export the list to a spreadsheet. You can also import a spreadsheet of LinkedIn profile links straight into a campaign — imported leads are treated as pre-approved and move straight into outreach.

The lead profile

Opening any lead shows a full career history panel, a captured or best-guess email address, which campaigns and pipeline stages they're part of, and a message co-pilot for sending a first message yourself. This research usually finishes within a couple of minutes of a lead being found.

Adding a lead by hand

Found someone yourself while browsing LinkedIn? Open the Chrome extension's popup while viewing their profile and add them straight into any campaign.

Restricting a lead

Any lead can be marked Restricted from the Inbox, which pulls them out of all future automated outreach.

Chapter 6

Inbox & replies

One place to see every conversation Disperse is running, and everything waiting on you.

The Inbox is split in two. On the left, every active conversation, filterable by All, To approve, Needs reply, or Stopped — with bulk approve or reject for anything pending. On the right, the full thread for whoever you've selected: their name, headline, LinkedIn link, contact details if known, which campaign they're in, and how their last reply was read.

When a draft is Pending approval, you can approve and send it as-is, edit it first, or reject it outright — along with any flags raised if the wording didn't check out against what's actually true about the lead.

Opening a conversation also drafts an AI-suggested reply automatically, ready to regenerate, send, or edit — or you're always free to write your own from scratch.

Chapter 7

The Chrome extension

The extension is what actually carries out your outreach — through your own logged-in LinkedIn session, at a pace that looks and feels human.

What the popup shows you

  • A connection status pill — Active Idle Reconnecting Error — so you always know whether it's working.
  • Your paired LinkedIn account's name and handle, the last thing it did, and a manual "Poll now" button.
  • An "Add to campaign" panel that appears automatically whenever you're viewing someone's profile.
  • A link back to your full dashboard, and clear guidance whenever something needs your attention.

What it does for you

  • Finds people by keyword, job title, and location — or pulls directly from a company's employee list.
  • Saves searches and re-runs them, folding new results into one running list.
  • Sends connection requests with personalized notes, and tracks pending invites — even while your browser is closed.
  • Drafts follow-ups the moment someone accepts, held for your approval unless a campaign is fully automatic.
  • Syncs every reply into one inbox, and can pull leads in bulk from a CSV file.
  • Supports a shared workspace, so a team can work from the same pipeline.
Protecting your accountThe extension paces everything — daily caps, gradual warm-up, randomized timing — specifically so your LinkedIn account never looks like it's being run by a machine. It never asks for or stores your LinkedIn password; it simply acts within the session you're already logged into, which is forgotten the moment you disconnect.
Chapter 8

How automation works

A handful of ideas repeat across openers, follow-ups, and replies. Once you know them, the rest of the product falls into place.

Automation modes

Every opener and follow-up sequence has its own mode, so you can dial in exactly how hands-on you want to be:

ModeWhat happens
AutoDisperse writes and sends automatically — best once you trust how a campaign sounds.
ReviewDisperse drafts, and it waits in your Inbox for you to approve, edit, or reject.
ManualYou write and send everything yourself — Disperse just tracks the conversation.

Templates and your own words

You can supply your own message text with fill-in-the-blank placeholders (first name, company, headline), or let the AI use your template as a style reference and write a fresh, personalized version for each lead.

Human-in-the-loop by default

Every AI-drafted message is held for your review until you turn that off. And if a message drifts from something actually true about the lead while it's being written, the send is automatically stopped and rewritten rather than going out anyway.

Pacing & timing

Minimum gaps between touches and a limit on unanswered follow-ups are built into the product itself. You can also restrict send windows for follow-ups to specific hours, days, and your timezone.

Chapter 9

Billing & trial

Straightforward, subscription-based pricing with a real trial period before anything is charged.

Free trial

New workspaces start with a 14-day free trial — a card is required, but you're not charged until it ends. A workspace that has already used its trial subscribes directly; the checkout screen tells you which applies to you before you pay.

Founding rate

₹1,999/month against a regular price of ₹4,999/month, while founding places last. Your price is confirmed on the checkout screen before payment.

What's included: one or two connected LinkedIn accounts running through your own session, full claim verification on every message, review routing for your highest-value leads, built-in pacing protection, and one synced inbox tied to your live pipeline.

Only the workspace owner can start, change, or cancel the subscription, or change the plan — everyone else sees a read-only notice. The Billing page (under Settings) shows your status in plain terms, your next billing or trial-end date, a cancel option, and a button to refresh your status right after a payment.

Chapter 11

Workspace & team

If you're working with others, this is where the whole team lives.

The Workspace page lists every member with their name, email, and role:

OwnerAdminMemberViewer

It also lists every LinkedIn account connected to the workspace, along with each one's 7-day connection-request volume and acceptance count.

Chapter 12

Getting help

A few quick reminders for when something looks off.

  • Extension shows "Reconnecting" or "Error": make sure LinkedIn is open in a tab, and re-pair from Settings → Connection if it doesn't recover on its own.
  • A campaign isn't sending: check whether it's paused, and check the health rail on your Dashboard — you may be at your daily or weekly limit, which resets automatically.
  • Messages sound generic: add a playbook to the campaign under Messaging → Playbook.
  • Subscription or payment issue: visit the Billing page and use "Check again" after completing a payment.
This guide covers the product as experienced day to day. Nothing here requires — or assumes — any technical background.
